What do they do/Who are they? 

Anae Evangelista is the Community Impact Manager at San Diego Hunger Coalition where she helps connect community organizations with vital food assistance tools like CalFresh and SUN Bucks. She is a dedicated public health professional raised in the Otay Mesa/San Ysidro area of San Diego. She brings both personal experience and professional passion to her work, aiming to improve access to food and public assistance programs for underserved families.

Anae serves on the COI Executive Leadership Team and is the co-chair of COI’s Community Domain. Her work with the San Diego Hunger Coalition and COI strengthens the broader public health network by promoting resource access and collaboration. Anae is committed to breaking down barriers so families can more easily navigate and benefit from support services.
