Live Well San Diego updates COI mini-grant success

Live Well San Diego recently highlighted in its updates the overwhelming success of  San Diego County Childhood Obesity Initiative (COI) most recent Request for Applications that provided mini-grants to address policy, systems, or environmental changes in support of healthy eating and active living. This year, the Childhood Obesity Initiative had 17 organizations apply for grants totaling over $75,000. While funding typically covers 2-3 projects, the Childhood Obesity Initiative was able to fund 8 mini-grant projects in 2022 thanks to a generous gift from the Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan.
